Baku - Culture, Fire & Caucasus Wonders

Azerbaijan is a land where ancient history meets futuristic ambition — the Land of Fire where natural gas flames have burned for millennia on the Absheron Peninsula. This 5-day, 4-night journey is centered in Baku, the dazzling capital on the Caspian Sea.

Explore Baku's remarkable contrasts — wander through the UNESCO-listed Old City (Icherisheher) with its maze of cobblestone lanes, then marvel at the Flame Towers and the flowing curves of the Heydar Aliyev Center. The city is a masterpiece of architectural daring.

Venture beyond the city to Gobustan, home to thousands of ancient petroglyphs and bizarre mud volcanoes that bubble and gurgle from the earth. Then escape to Gabala in the Caucasus foothills — lush forests, mountain lakes, and crisp alpine air make this a perfect contrast to Baku's urban energy.

"This is an excellent guide and car service which we used in Nairobi and also on an overnight trip to the Homa Peninsula. They came highly recommended by an NGO that works in Kenya and we are glad we hired them. Mike was an exceptional driver on many different road conditions! We travelled in a comfortable Land Cruiser Prado to rural dirt paths and crazy urban traffic jams. He also was very knowledgable. It was reasonably priced and very flexible with our changing schedule."
